Douglas Young @ Heart is a very active community group based at the heart of Douglas village with members from all the surrounding areas. We were set up in 2001 to help alleviate isolation and loneliness in older people. Douglas Young @ Heart provide essential sevices that combat social isolation and host a myriad of activities that run entirely on a voluntary basis.

Through participating in our events and activities, our members realise that, regardless of ability, the experience of growing older is a joy and a privilege. It’s all part of our mission to provide services, supports and skills to our older people. We have always worked towards promoting health, well being and a positive attitude to life in old age. We hope to achieve this goal by encouraging people to participate and continue to lead full lives while developing meaningful friendships.
